Colombian economist and politician. Panama Papers. He was Minister of Finance and Public Credit. He resigned due to the scandal. Today he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Bank of the Republic of Colombia. After leaving the Ministry, he entered into a joint venture with Andrés Flórez, which resulted in the creation of Navenby Investment Group Inc. in Panama and KONFIGURA CAPTAL in Colombia.
According to information revealed by the Panama Papers , while Konfigura obtained funds at an 8 percent interest rate , it charged municipalities through GFI an 11 percent rate, representing a huge profit for Carrasquilla, Flórez, and their associates. To date , Carrasquilla's tax returns and the value of the contract between Konfigura and GFI remain unknown.

GFI, according to the Comptroller General of the Nation , carried out financial intermediation activities without authorization or compliance with legal requirements . Involved in the Arbitration Tribunal where the Colombian State almost lost billions of pesos with the strange thesis that "the Colombian State should pay Odebrecht 's multimillion-dollar debts to the banks with its own public resources," while Alberto Carrasquilla was Minister of Finance.
A graduate of Javeriana University with a law degree from Cornell University, he served as Markets Manager at the Colombian Stock Exchange from 2001 to 2002. In the private sector, he has held positions at Citibank Colombia. In the public sector, he was Deputy Superintendent for Issuers at the Superintendency of Securities until 2004 and Director of Financial Regulation at the Ministry of Finance until 2005. He headed Fogafín (the Colombian Deposit Insurance Fund) until 2007. From 2015 to 2016, he was Minister Plenipotentiary and Deputy Head of Mission at the Colombian Embassy in Washington, D.C.

According to her LinkedIn profile, between 1994 and 2000 she served as national director of customer service at what is now Telefónica. She also worked as vice president of sales and credit at Findeter.
Between 2004 and 2007 she was the president of Central Inversiones, where she indicates that one of her functions was to support the Colombian Government in the development of its strategy to save the public banking and financial system in the past crisis of the sector (1998).
She has also been a partner at Konfigura Capital and Navemby Investment Group since 2008. And since 2010, she has owned Generando Valor SAS, a firm that provides administrative, accounting, and tax solutions.
